It’s that time of the month again to look back at Lottie and Frankie’s relationship. They have definitely been playing together more the last few months, rather than just side by side. They’ve been giggling together in a way that only sisters do and I just love watching them.
I took the camera out a couple of times to do some ‘posed’ sisters shots this month. But actually, we had too much fun to stop for photos. So I’ve chosen some of my favourites of them together from the last month.
We’ve had trips to the park in the sunshine, a visit to a farm, time with family and friends, and a fun morning at our local splash park. I think being outside and less confined has helped Lottie not to get as smothered by her sister’s attention. They’ve been playing games of chasing each other at the park, up and down the slide and spinning together on the roundabout, just generally enjoying each other’s company. And when all else fails, someone will start to run, they will chase, and the giggling ensues. I love watching their delight in the most simple play.
Lottie has also started to really try to cheer Frankie up when she is upset. If she’s on the floor having a tantrum, Lottie will go over and cuddle and kiss her and give her toys to try and get her to stop screaming. It doesn’t work of course, but it’s so adorable to watch.
By the next update, we’ll be on summer holidays. Far from dreading it, I can’t wait to have more time with Lottie at home, so that we can have fun and explore together. And to watch their bond grow even closer (with a few more spats thrown in, I’m sure.)
You can tell they are already the best of friends. So lovely and enjoying summer to it’s fullest here. #siblingsproject
