Our maternity photoshoot

A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to win a maternity photoshoot with a local photographer, Amanda Foreman Photography.

When Amanda contacted me about dates, she suggested the morning of my birthday, which I thought would be a perfect birthday treat. Other than at my wedding, I have never had professional photos taken, so I was really excited to capture this exciting time in my life.

We were so lucky with the weather, early rain cleared to reveal gorgeous blue skies on the morning of the shoot. We had decided to take the photos at the stable yard my horse lives at, as there are some gorgeous golden corn fields at the moment. The farmer now thinks I am nuts, and I felt very odd being in dresses at the stables, when I am usually in jodhpurs, but it was so worth it.

Amanda arrived at our house and I immediately felt really comfortable with her. She’s a friendly, genuine person, who is very easy to be in the company of, which I am sure makes a big difference to photos as Mr M and I both felt happy and relaxed with her.

I am so delighted with the photos, that we have booked Amanda for a newborn shoot as well. She has a real talent and I have every faith that she will capture our new baby beautifully as well.
