It’s July tomorrow and as usual, I haven’t orgnised our family photos for this month’s Me and Mine post. Last month was the garden, so this month you’re being treated to a shot of us at home. I know it’s a bit lame, but I still want to document our little family as we grow and change, so I’m publishing them anyway.
This month, we’ve been loving the warmer weather and getting out and about lots again. Mr M and I have been desperately trying to get our garden finished, but when you have a toddler and a baby, time is so limited that any DIY seems to take forever, but it’s getting there slowly.
We celebrated Mr M’s first Father’s Day as a dad of two this month. We also went to see my dad, which was super special. There was a time last year when we didn’t know if he would still be with us, so it was lovely to count our blessings on that special day.
We’ve had a trip to the zoo, which both girls absolutely loved. We’re lucky enough to live really close to Paradise Wildlife Park, so it’s lovely to be able to visit and treat the girls.
If I’m being completely honest, the lack of sleep and demands of looking after two under two started to take its toll a bit over the last few months and I’ve been struggling a little bit. Of course I wouldn’t change my life and family for the world, but sometimes you need a break. So I’ve been trying to get some early nights, which coupled with an improving nighttime sleep from Frankie are slowly giving me a bit of life back. I’m hoping to have a bit of time for me next month, and this month’s photos have made me realise the first port of call is a hair appointment!!
Lovely photos, I love the expressions on that last one! real shots for sure. We have been trying to do the garden too but everything takes longer with children doesn’t it?
Thanks lovely. It really does take forever, doesn’t it!? xx
