So, my bumpdate is late again, and I’m actually 35+4 today, but I’m posting anyway, as I wanted to have one for each week of pregnancy and I’ll update you on how last week went. In fact the heatwave polaxed me last week and I didn’t really post on here at all, but I’m back…
Feeling: HOT! But I’m not going to go on about that because I’ve already dedicated a whole blog post to it over here!
The swelling is getting to new levels and my feet are truly disgusting at the moment. This is happening during the day now, whereas it was just in the evenings, so I’m making sure to get them up as much as possible, but that’s not always easy with a desk job.
My feet are also pretty painful on the soles, but I think that is probably just the extra weight I’m carrying. I’m living in flip flops with thick foam soles for a bit of relief and am starting to get very slow at getting around. Mr M often forgets and marches off without me and I feel like the old granny trailing along behind.
My appetite has definitely slowed down, which is something I never thought would happen as I love food! I am trying to eat a little less, but more often, to make it easier to digest things as my heartburn is at an all-time high right now too. I’m just finding that there is nothing I really fancy to eat (unheard of usually) and I’m even turning down chocolate and cake when I’m full. Long may this continue!
Little R-M is becoming a little more vicious in its kicking and punching and has a bit of an attitude. If I lean my arm or hand on my stomach, it often gives a sharp nudge as if to say ‘Get off me, mum!’ I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come 😉
Appointments:Â None this week
Looking: If I compare the last week’s photo with this week’s, I look bigger. Which is reassuring as I felt on the weekend like bump wasn’t really growing much. I think it has changed shape and lowered quite a lot, which means I can’t see as much of it when looking down. Mr M is laughing at me saying I’m not very big and keeps taking rather unflattering pictures of my tummy to prove that I’m actually enormous. He also did this comparison with week 6 or 7 to now. Wow!
Craving: Still Bottle Green Pomegranete and Elderflower cordial. I cannot get enough of it with sparkling water. The ready mixed version is sold out in our local pub… I think this may be my fault!
Sleeping: My body seems to be getting me ready for a newborn routine. I wake about every hour to two hours at the moment! Sometimes I need a toilet break, sometimes I’m uncomfortable.
Luckily I can usually get back to sleep pretty quickly at the moment, which isn’t likely to be the case when baby is here, so I’m making the most of that.
Baby is the size of: A honeydew melon
I love that comparison picture, it’s to look back isn’t it! So with you on feeling like a waddling granny too – I’m constantly left behind haha xx
I thought I was showing in that first pic!! Lol. I have given in to the waddling now Em! Just shuffling at my own pace! Haha xxx
Sorry about your poorly feet! I remember really struggling to eat towards the end of both of my pregnancies. Everything gets so squashed by baby! Your comparison photos are fab, it’s amazing how much we change during pregnancy x
Aaw thanks lovely. Mind you if that’s the worst to happen, I think I’ve got away quite lightly really! That’s a very good description of it actually – everything seems very squashed! Hopefully I’ll get back to that first photo one day! haha :-/ xx
You are looking blummin amazing! And I bet your feet are not disgusting at all! This heat must be a killer for you though, you have my sympathies!
Thanks for linking up to #MaternityMatters x x
Aaw, thanks so much lovely. Feet are so not attractive though! lol. Pleasure and thanks for hosting #maternitymatters xx
