My bumpdate is a little bit late this week because I’ve been away for the weekend for Mr M’s birthday and I have to admit to largely switching off for a much needed break. But I’m back, bigger than ever and 23 weeks pregnant.
Feeling: Again no real symptoms and I can’t complain so far about how I’m feeling. Sleeping is a little hit and miss and by the end of the week I was feeling super tired, so a few afternoon naps over the weekend have been hugely beneficial and I’m feeling a little more human again today.
The main change this week is how much Little R-M has been moving about. I think because of my placenta being at the front, I am not feeling movement so much in my tummy, but right down at the bottom of the bump. Little seems to wake up after I’ve had dinner at night and just as I get to work in the morning, which are the most active times, but I’m starting to feel wriggling throughout the day now.
Appointments: I had my second cervical length scan this week and was so relieved to find that it is all still normal and I have been signed off consultant care and sent back to the midwife as a low risk case. I could actually have cried in the consultant’s office, but held it together until I got to the car.
Looking: Feel like I have grown again this week, but haven’t put on any weight, so maybe it’s my imagination.
Craving: Ice cold water to calm the internal radiators.
Sleeping: My main problem with sleeping is how ridiculously hot I am at the moment. I am quite honestly like a human radiator. Never cold and if there is even a hint of warmth in a room, I’ll be more than glowing. Poor old Mr M keeps waking up like an ice cube as I am throwing open windows and doors during the night.
Baby is the size of: A large mango.
Gorgeous bump! I’m feeling you with getting hot at night, it’s getting so roasting now, luckily my oh feels the same so we have the window wide open haha. Yay to being low risk 🙂 xx
Aah thanks lovely! I feel Mr M may be a little chilly until summer properly kicks in! Lol xx
Aw, this was a very nice post. In concept I wish to put in writing like this additionally
