Word of the week – 6/3/15

I love the word of the week linky, as it really makes you take a moment to reflect on your week and also to find the positive if you can, and there is always is one somewhere in the week.

So my word of the week today is…

SOLD

The sale of my little flat, which was the first property I ever bought, has completed today. It’s been a long, drawn out process and I’ll be honest, it’s been pretty stressful at times, but what house sale isn’t, I guess.

But we finally got there, and last night I looked the door for the very last time and took the keys to the estate agent with mixed emotions. The flat was a studio and I made it totally perfect and girlie when I moved in there and I loved having my freedom.

Then, about six months after I met Mr M, he moved in with me for six months. Cosy! So it held some great memories and I felt a bit sad to leave it.

But we can’t live in a studio again, and we needed the equity in the flat to buy our new home and make a nursery for our baby, so I also felt super excited that the next leg of our journey is about to begin and as soon as we have a mortgage offer in principal, I can’t start off my favourite ever activity. Shopping.

So it’s onwards and upwards.

So exciting! Stressful times aside, I did love the processes of buying our homes, too. I liked searching and then planning all of the changes and interiors. I wish you success with your house hunting! Thanks for sharing with #WotW x

It’s funny isn’t it? Even though we were desperate to sell and move on, it still tugged at the old heartstrings a little bit! Never satisfied! 😉 Thank you – the exciting bit now! xx
