Who I’m voting for in the MAD Blog Awards 2015

I am a newbie in the world of blogging and so far I am absolutely loving it. My only real complaint is that I wish I had more time to do it. And to learn and explore and read other blogs and immerse myself in the world of blogging. But there are only so many hours in the day, and I also have to work, spend some time with Mr M, do the housework, look after my horse and see my friends and family from time to time.

Before I started blogging myself, I entered the world through my work and with a blogger outreach programme. Sadly we have no budget for this activity, or it would have been much further reaching, but what I did do, I really enjoyed. There are some really super, inspirational bloggers out there, who deserve to be recognised for their hard work and fab writing, photography, advice and humour.

Which is where Tots 100 and the MAD Blog Awards come in. Each year, you can nominate your favourites in a range of categories to be awarded in their specific sector.

Tots100 MAD Blog Awards

So this year, I thought I might share who I’ll be voting for, and to ask very kindly, if you enjoy my blog, to perhaps pop over and nominate me for the pregnancy category.

Then I realised it felt a bit like the ‘real’ voting of last week and that perhaps I shouldn’t reveal my favourites. So I’ve decided to give you my shortlist in each category. I’m still finding it pretty difficult to pick my favourites anyway.

Blog of the Year

This is probably the most difficult to choose, but my all time favourites, the ones where I get a bit excited when I see a new post from them, are:

Mummy Daddy Me – I love to see Katie and her family’s posts. The photography is gorgeous, her style is enviable, her honest, heartfelt words hit the nail on the head and I want to live in her house!

Write Like No One’s Watching – Charlotte’s journey with her family is not-to-be-missed reading. I love her vlogs, her photography and her writing style is beautiful.

Ghostwriter Mummy – Suzanne works hard to raise awareness for maternity matters and her journey through pregnancy and motherhood – a must read for any new and existing mums and an inspirational lady.

The Mumington Post – A great mixture of posts for all things parent related from a range of really talented writers.

I won’t give reasons for each nomination, as this will be the longest post ever, but suffice to say, the mums and dads below are all fabulous writers, bloggers, vloggers and photographers, who are all more than worthy of a MAD Blog Awards win.
