Me and mine: October 2016

I had one of those lightbulb moments for this month’s me and mine photos. I was out for a walk with a friend and her baby in our village and spotted the prettiest little bench on the edge of a field, under a tree, which was shedding leaves of the most beautiful yellow and gold colours.

I earmarked it and dragged Mr M and Lottie back last weekend and was so pleased I did. This spot is in the village we live in and I just love the colours in the photo. I think the one of Mr M

October has literally flown by with busy weeks and a growing bump. I must admit that I’m starting to cringe at how huge I look in these photos, but I guess I’ll deal with the baby weight once our new addition is settled in and I’m back on my feet.

The clocks have changed, so the nights are darker and Christmas is on its way. I know it’s mad, but I always feel like I have less hours in the day at this time of year, the horse will start to come in at night once the temperature drops and the rain starts, so there’s a bit more to fit into the days anyway with mucking out, etc.

We are also waiting for a surgery date for my dad, which we should find out this week, so I’m going to spend a few weeks trying to get Christmas preparations underway so that when he does go into hospital, I’m not running around like a headless chicken. It’s a big operation he is having and he will be in hospital for quite some time afterwards, so we need to get organised and ready, so that we can visit him and help look after my mum while he’s not around too.

I’m off to write a big ‘to do’ list…

What a beautiful location and I love that when you spot a place and think of Me and Mine captures in that moment. I do that a lot now. Lovely family photos and smiles. #meandmineproject
