Me and mine – October 2015

So, having started joining in with Me and Mine with great gumption in August, I straight away missed September. But we are back… This was in fact written on November 1st but for some reason it didn’t publish and I’ve only just found it in drafts, but I wanted to publish anyway… Better late than never I guess.

I need to get better at photography as all of my pictures are just iPhone snaps and when I look back at the end of the month, I rarely have a good one of the three of us. So I’m off to invest in a tripod I think and will get practising with the big camera this month. Watch this space.

Anyway, last night we attended a Halloween party at some friends’ house and thus attended our first party as a family of three.

My little pumpkin took the whole event entirely in her stride, watching all the goings-on, taking the overexcited boisterous children in quietly and within one hour, going to sleep through the rest of the event. Mr M and I were so proud of how she coped with it all.

I think you’ll agree Mr M is looking hot!

October has been a fairly quiet month. After the madness of accustomising ourselves to life as a three, we have settled into a routine and been enjoying time in our lovely new home and new village as a family.

Lottie and I go out for walks exploring our new surroundings each day.

Mr M has started to do the first feed of the day to get some daddy daughter time before work and then her and I spend the day at baby groups, visiting friends and family, going to the stables and doing our chores, with a fair bit of sofa snuggling thrown in for good measure.

As well as our Halloween party, we have celebrated my lovely mum’s birthday with some of the family for Sunday lunch and have also been enjoying having friends over for dinner parties, as we find our feet with a new but equally lovely social life with Lottie in tow.

I love this time of year as autumn enrobes the world around us with its gorgeous rich colours, the nights draw in and we start to cosy up against the cold. I am so lucky to be at home on maternity leave this year and am loving getting our jobs and the horse done early and drawing the curtains and snuggling with Lottie by 5pm and waiting for Mr M to come home for the evening.

Aww looks like you’ve had a lovely month!
I remember them times after having my first, just having snuggles on the sofa – I miss how he used to bundle up on my chest.
She looks so adorable as a pumpkin! 😀
