June/July beauty favourites

It’s been a while since I did a beauty favourites post but I’ve found some lovely bits over the last few weeks that I wanted to share.

Palmers Tummy Butter and Sanctuary Body Soufle

First up is The Sanctuary Mande Lular Body Souffle. This stuff smells absolutely divine and is really light, so soaks into your skin really quickly, not leaving any greasiness. It keeps your skin soft and supple all day and the scent really lasts.

I’ve been trying to rub in stretch mark cream every day during my pregnancy and so far (touching wood while I type) I haven’t had any stretch marks rearing their ugly head. The latest one I’ve used is the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Tummy Butter for Stretch Marks. It has that signature Palmer’s smell and is really rich, so a little goes a long way, but it soaks in fairly quickly and is really nice to massage into the bump.

Professor Scubbington's hand and body wash

My recent inaugural Britmums Live attendance nearly saw me leave without my goody bag, until I saw people walking out with theirs. I’m so glad I didn’t leave it behind as it introduced me to some great new brands and Professor Scrubbington’s Emporium of Clean is definitely a new favourite.

This Magically Foaming Hand and Face Wash smells amazing and the foam is so much less messy than a liquid soap. Best of all? All of their products are 95% natural. The brand is largely aimed at kids, but it’s also great for adults and great at taking off your make-up.

I’m a little bit in love with having a bath at the moment – it takes all the weight off my achy back and relaxes me at the end of the day. And the Cusson’s Mum & Me Bump Relax & Unwind Bath Soak is the perfect accompaniment. It really foams up, which I love and (have you spotted a theme yet?) smells lush.

I recently had my dark roots dyed back, so I like to try and use an intensive conditioner to help protect the colour and my hair. I’ve been using the Herbal Essences Bee Strong Strengthening Intensive Mask, which has Apricot and Honey to strengthen hair and leaves my hair super glossy.

I like a natural make-up look for everyday wear and don’t always use an eye shadow as I worry about it looking too heavy. I found this Collection Eyes Uncovered nude bronze palette in Superdrug recently for just £3.99, with six decent sized shadows in it. I’m really pleased with it, as it gives you a bit of a sparkle without looking too much and lasts really well throughout the day too.

Finally, I’m in love with the new Barry M Daylight Curing range. I bought the Do it Like a Nude shade with the topcoat, which works like salon gel polish, without the need for a UV light. This lasted for over a week without chipping, despite me looking after a horse every day and never really bothering with Marigolds. And it comes off like normal polish, rather than the ag of soaking like you have to with gels. Best of both worlds!
