Feeling: I always try to find the positive things about pregnancy for my updates as we spent what seemed like an age trying to conceive, so I know how lucky we are to be in this position now.
But in fairness this week has been a bit tough on the old body. I’m getting so heavy now that I can’t really stand for too long, which is frustrating when you have lots to do. I’m also not weathering too well in the heat of the last few days, which as a sun worshipper, absolutely sucks as I have spent the weekend in the shade. But at least we have got outside and I am certainly not moaning about the weather – I love it, but my bump doesn’t.
Our house purchase has stagnated a bit recently and I’ve been panicking about getting everything ready in time for the baby arriving, so to make myself feel a bit better, we’ve got the clothes and bits for the baby’s hospital bag washed and ironed and ready today and have also built our pram, so I’m feeling a little more prepared now. I forgot to take a pic of the pram, but I absolutely love it, so will get something up on Instagram soon.
We are now in the single figure countdown – only nine weeks to go! So I guess a slight meltdown is not surprising. I’ll be back on track in a few days.
Appointments: I had a breastfeeding clinic on Friday, which was really interesting and has given us lots of food for thought and lots of leaflets to read. We haven’t decided what to do about feeding yet, but I’d definitely recommend going along to one of these clinics as I learnt loads.
Looking: Much the same this week, except the right side of my bump is further out than the left when you look down at it, so I think Little R-M is having a wiggle.
Craving: Still orange juice and Sicilian lemonade.
Sleeping: Sleeping is mediocre, I’d say. I sleep OK when I am asleep, but I wake up a lot with achy hips, toilet breaks and the like. I have also been having mental dreams which keep waking me up.
